1. Overview

At Legacy Stories, we want you to be completely satisfied with your subscription. This Refund Policy explains our refund and cancellation terms for Story Keeper and Legacy Author subscriptions.

2. Story Keeper Plan ($9/month or $79/year)

14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with your Story Keeper subscription, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first charge (i.e., after the 7-day free trial ends). After 14 days, refunds are issued on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.

Cancellation

  • You may cancel your Story Keeper subscription at any time
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You will retain Story Keeper access until the end of the paid period
  • No refunds for partial months after the 14-day guarantee period

How to Cancel

To cancel your subscription, visit your account dashboard and click "Cancel Subscription" or contact us through our Contact page.

3. Legacy Author Plan ($19/month or $159/year)

14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with your Legacy Author subscription, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first charge (i.e., after the 7-day free trial ends). After 14 days, refunds are issued on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.

Cancellation

  • You may cancel your Legacy Author subscription at any time
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You will retain Legacy Author access until the end of the paid period
  • No refunds for partial months after the 14-day guarantee period

4. Free Trial

Both Story Keeper and Legacy Author plans include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be billed. No refund is applicable to the free trial period itself.

5. Refund Process

How to Request a Refund

  1. Contact us through our Contact page
  2. Include your account email and reason for the refund request
  3. We will review your request within 2–3 business days
  4. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days

Refund Method

Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for purchase. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take an additional 5–10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

6. Free Plan

The Free plan does not involve payment and therefore no refunds apply. You may delete your account at any time.

7. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable:

  • Subscription renewals after the 14-day guarantee period
  • Partial months of service after the guarantee period
  • Third-party fees (such as currency conversion or payment processing fees)

8. Service Issues

If you experience technical issues that prevent you from using the Service, please contact us immediately. We will work to resolve the issue or provide a prorated refund if we cannot restore service within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us, we reserve the right to immediately terminate your account and deny future service. Please contact us first to resolve any payment concerns.

10. Account Deletion and Data

If you receive a refund and delete your account, all your stories and data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. We recommend exporting your stories before requesting a refund if you wish to keep them.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via email.
